Despite the unseasonal pleasantness of the last couple of weeks sunshine my associates and I chose the wet bank holiday weekend to venture Whitstable bound on our two wheeled steeds. Despite the lack of sunshine upon our faces and relaxed nature of the wheeled upon course it still gave birth to 2012 bike bound period and rehashed the memories of a slow steady ride about town, letting the pace of your pedals slow your thoughts in line with the hazy Sunday park session.
Brazilian illustrator Adams Carvalho captures perfectly in this series just that feeling.
The simplicity of the composition and strength of the shadow against the easy colour scheme just does it for me, makes me wish it was Sunday, or at least sunny…and possibly that I was back in Brazil.
Always one to applaud innovation in any a design field, although from the Apple unhappy school of flash, this site for German designers’ OK studios is a joy to visit for its clever use of simple tricks combined with high res textured collateral to deliver a polished stylish finish. Although it does sadly come with the warning from me that to be seen in its best light use Firefox as your browser (not exactly a line you want ot be throwing across as “please note” to a client on site delivery)
stuff & things
Periodical, blog, diary or sorts, not too sure what you’d categorise these mussing as but let’s just file it under “STUFF & THINGS” for now. things that we like, stuff that amuses, and hopefully an insight into why. Plus I like to talk…quite a lot….whether anyone is here to listen or not.
